Edward Everett Horton - Glorious Second Banana

Today's fabulous supporting player's voice will be instantly recognizable to anyone who remembers the Fractured Fairy Tales segment of the Rocky and Bullwinkle show.
For the rest of us (whose mothers actually tried to make us gay by exposing us to the golden age of Hollywood films) will know him from most of the Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers dance pictures from the Depression Era.
Snooty, effete, fussy and sour, Horton was one of the handful of actors who regularly played gay characters (even though they were never identified as such). Always a side kick, a best friend and foil, his distinctive face, and unmistakable voice always made me feel good when he put in an appearance.
