• Homophobic Putz loses bid for Governor of Florida. Bill McCollum is the hatenozzle who paid George "long stroke" Rekers over $100,000 to testify in court to keep gay adoption illegal. (Via Joe My God.) McCollum's loss in the GOP primary means the Democratic candidate will go toe-to-toe with some other hate-filled scuzzwad.

• John "Where's my Gin!?" McCain defeats JD Hayworth in Arizona. Lisa Murkowski and Tea Party candidate Joe Miller still too close to call in Alaska. Nate Silver did some super live blogging last night covering the primaries. He will certainly have up-to-date coverage and analysis this morning.

• Carlos A. Ball over at Huffpo: "Without factual support for their arguments, it is becoming less and less tenable for opponents of same-sex marriage to argue that their positions are not influenced by a dislike of gay people and their intimate relationships." His whole essay is worth reading and, for the record, I still think Jonathan Rauch is wrongedy-wrong-wrong.

• Wyoming couple brings federal suit against that state's law barring marriage equality. Good luck guys.

• Ball Memorial hospital to begin training staff about how not to be a bunch of trans phobic dicks.

• Jimmy Carter arrives in North Korea to chat with the bat-shit crazy ruler of that desperate, starving, totally nuts nation.

Choose And Perish! Nate Silver over at 538 dot com has a swell wrap-up of yesterday's elections and what they mean.

Paul Defeats Grayson in Kentucky, Sestak defeats Specter in Pennsylvania, Lincoln and Halter head to run-off in Arkansas and conventional wisdom leaves a lot to be desired.

In local news, the Oregon governor's race will be Kitzhaber v. Dudley in evening wear, swimsuit and talent. I hear Dudley can open a can of Bud with his bellybutton, so the Democrats better watch out.

Not My Mess. Turns out tar balls washing ashore in Florida Keys are not from the BP spill. Are we supposed to be relieved about that?

Also in Florida Filth: Continuing damage from the George (totally-not-gay) Rekers scandal. AG Bill McCollum faces scrutiny for hiring the discredited bigot-asshole (at taxpayer expense). In fact, Rekers "expert" testimony played a part in both the Florida gay adoption ban and the Prop 8 case.

Wow, that Parliament is hung! No party wins required 326 seats as Labor and Lib Dems discuss working together. Tories call it "coalition of the defeated."

He gets it. George Rekers's male escort describes him as "...way worse than the orange grove lady." JoeMyGod talked to Jo-Vanni Roman for a couple of hours last night. Naive but not stupid, the young man will be speaking with Anderson Cooper today.

Meanwhile... Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum (who is running for governor) is under fire for paying Rekers almost $90,000 to say horrible things about gays and other minorities in court.
