• Well, duh. Elena Kagan refrains from answering questions about cases that could come before the Supreme Court.

• Ha ha. Supremes rule against anti - gay, Christian bigots.

• The DMV sucks.

• We find out late this week who won the Freedom to Marry Blog 4 Equality Netroots Nation Scholarship contest.  You can still head over to Freedom to Marry and help them out with even a tiny donation to help them in their very important work.  Thanks again to everyone who slaved away for my potential glory. SCOTUS Update

I won't link to it because you can find it yourself and I've had two cocktails this evening, but it looks as though President Obama will nominate Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court seat vacated by Justice Stevens.

Also unconfirmed is that Kagan is a gal who loves gals.

IMHO, a dyke on the Supreme Court is a fabulous idea.

The religious right will probably squirt themselves over this.

LZ Granderson over at the CNN Opinion page has an excellent post about Obama's recent Hospital visitation ruling and how it leads naturally to a full, immediate repeal of DADT.  Heartfelt and well written.
