• Rabid, homophobic pastor outed by Minneapolis gay paper. Reporter infiltrates anti-gay "support" group.

• Race and ethnicity important in coming out dynamic. CNN discusses.

• Two days left to vote. I will stop badgering you all in less than 48 hours. Just keep voting till the end.

Oh My God Flamers! I'm in fourth place with with only three days to go.

• Judicial watch informs us (via wapo) U.S. District Judge Martin L.C. Feldman, who halted the moratorium on offshore drilling, is heavily invested in the Gulf oil industry.

• Edith Shain (The nurse in Eisenstaedt's famous picture) has died in Los Angeles at age 91. BBC News quotes her description of VJ Day in New York: "And this guy grabbed me and we kissed, and then I turned one way and he turned the other." Bon Voyage Edith...

• McDonald's "creepy and predatory" Happy Meals under attack by watchdog group. McDonald's vows to start selling "adorable cigarettes" to children instead. Just kidding.

• President Obama touts small but significant progress on gay rights at White House Reception. The Family Equality Council is grateful, but points out we still have a long way to go.

• Turns out gay guys are better at remembering people's faces because we use both sides of our brains. Just like women, thank you very much.

• Itty Bitty progress at a glacial pace helps conservatives rally against real change for GLBTQ's. Just a teeny bit frustrating. We need commitment and follow - through from this Administration, and I'm just not seeing it.

• Gulf rig owner complains that six - month drilling ban "seriously impedes our ability to destroy the planet."

• "Maybe I shouldn't have called my boss and idiot who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground?" Gen. Stanley McChrystal regrets some of his recent comments ahead of meetings with the very people he yakked about.

•  Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour has the courage to look at the Gulf spill and say what no one else has the courage to say: "Everything's fine!"

• Here in Portland, Oregon it's Pride Day and Father's Day. We always do it that way here in PDX, how about where you live?
